Diane holds a BSc degree (Mathematics and Statistics) from Port Elizabeth University (NMMU). Along with vast, relevant experience in the business industry, she has many years of teaching experience in teaching Year 12 students in Business Studies. She is highly computer literate and teaches Business Studies in both online and face-to-face contexts.

08:45 – 12:00 Session 1:

• Business environments overview – Macro-environment: Impact of       recent legislation on business and Business Strategies. Business           sectors and their environments.
• Business operations overview – Human resources function and          Quality of performance.
• Work through past paper examples covering these sections and           their solutions.

12:00 – 13:00 Lunch time
13:00 – 16:00 Session 2:

• Business ventures overview – Management and Leadership.                 Investment: securities / opportunities. Forms of ownership – how     they contribute to success / failure of a business. Presentation and     data response.
• Business roles – Ethics and professionalism. Creative thinking and     problem-solving. Social responsibility & Corporate Citizenship             Corporate social responsibility (CSR) Corporate Social Investment     (CSI). Human rights, inclusivity, and environmental issues. Team       performance assessment.
• Conflict management.
