Mode: Online

Duration: 7 weeks (orientation week, 5 weeks tuition, 1 exam week)  

Modules: minimum 2 to maximum 4 modules per Summer School

2020/1 Summer School Module fee: 

R 3 500.00

Non-RSA students must pay the full fee upfront

Entry Requirements:

  • NSC with Higher Certificate endorsement
  • APS: 18+
  • Passed Maths (30%) or Maths Literacy (40%)
  • 40% in English Home language or Additional Language
  • Pass the AAA entrance exam
  • Mature age exemption: Candidates who have attempted Matric/Grade 12 and reached the age of 23 may apply for admission.


The Foundation Programme runs an additional Summer School each year as a shortened semester of intensive teaching. 

It is ideal for:

  •  Any student who needs to improve their skills or gain more confidence in a specific area e.g. numerical or language skills.
  •  Foundation Programme students who need to complete any outstanding modules from the year so they can commence undergraduate programmes at the start of the following year
  • Students who want to fast-track their studies should they opt to do so

Interested in a career in Advertising, Marketing or Creative?

The Summer School is ideal for anyone thinking about a career in Marketing Communications. 

By successfully completing the Marketing Management* and Creative & Writing Skills* modules, you will receive 2 credits when you enroll for a AAA Degree or AAA Diploma.


  • 2020 Summer School: 30 November 2020 – 29 January 2021 (apply by 15 November 2020). This is split as follows: 3 weeks from 30 November – 18 December and 4 weeks from 4 January to 29 January 2021)
  • 2021 Summer School: December 2021 – January 2022 (apply by 15 November 2021).
